L'ÉPICURIEN LEMON AND THYME MUSTARD

Bright and herby — this is a mustard that earns its place beyond the cheese board. Made with mustard seeds, lemon zest, and thyme, it has a citrusy lift and a gentle aromatic warmth that makes it as useful in a kitchen as it is on a table.

Whisked into a vinaigrette, stirred through a marinade for chicken, or simply spread onto a warm slice of Huddle sourdough with good ham, it has a way of quietly improving everything it touches.

L'Épicurien began in 1982, when master jam maker Bernard Le Gulvout opened a delicatessen in Paris with the ambition of being a true artisan du goût — an artisan of taste. He was later joined by his two nephews Xavier and Benoît, and the family eventually moved production to Le Bosc in the heart of Languedoc-Roussillon, surrounded by the fruit orchards and herb fields that supply their recipes. Everything is still cooked and crafted in small batches, adjusted by hand, with a short list of natural ingredients.
